The 2005/2006 round of the Natural Disaster Mitigation Programme and Regional Flood Mitigation Programme have now closed.  Applications for the 06/07 round are expected to open in November 2005.

Support is also available under the Natural Disaster Mitigation Programme for works, measures and related activities that contribute to safer, sustainable communities better able to withstand the effects of floods, storms, cyclones, bushfires and other natural disasters.  Eligible projects here include risk management studies, disaster mitigation strategies, warning systems, community awareness ptrogrammes and structural works to protect against damage.
